Ergon BT OrthoCell Pad

These pads are designed to sit under your handlebar tape to provide extra cushioning. They use high-end OrthoCell foam to distribute pressure across your palms, which helps reduce numbness and fatigue on longer road or gravel rides.

The Ergon BT OrthoCell pads are specifically designed for drop handlebars commonly found on road, all-road, and gravel bikes. They are not intended for flat mountain bike bars.

The pads are 2.5mm thick, which adds a noticeable but not excessive amount of cushion. Because they feature a built-in wrapping guide, you can adjust your tape overlap to customize the final diameter to your preference.

The pads themselves sit underneath the tape, so they don't change the surface texture of your grip. However, the system allows you to choose your wrapping direction, which lets you prioritize either a locked-in grip or more freedom of movement.

Installation is straightforward thanks to the adhesive backing on the pads. You simply position them on the handlebars where you want the extra support and then wrap your preferred handlebar tape over the top.
