Lodge Lid Lifter

The handle is spring-loaded; when you squeeze it, the jaws open to hook onto the lid handle. Releasing your grip allows the tool to lock securely onto the lid, providing a stable hold for lifting or rotating.

The Deluxe Lid Lifter is designed to fit standard cast iron dutch oven lids with a loop-style handle. While it is optimized for Lodge cookware, it will work with most lids that feature a similar handle design.

The handle is designed to remain cooler than the cast iron body, but it is still made of metal. While the bright finish helps with visibility, we recommend using a heat-resistant glove or mitt if you are cooking for an extended period over an open fire.

The lifter is constructed from durable cast iron and is built to easily support the weight of a standard dutch oven lid. It is intended for lifting and rotating lids, not for carrying the entire dutch oven.

The warning is included because the product is made of cast iron, which can contain trace amounts of chemicals that are subject to California's Proposition 65 regulations. This is a standard disclosure for many metal cookware items and does not mean the product is unsafe for normal cooking use.
