Focal Theva Speaker

The Theva Surround is specifically engineered as a 2-way closed surround speaker for home cinema setups. While they excel at rear or side channel effects, they are not designed to serve as primary front or stereo speakers.

These speakers are compatible with amplifiers ranging from 25 to 100 watts. Given their 89 dB sensitivity, they are easy to drive for most standard home theater receivers.

The speakers are designed for simple wall-mounting to ensure they stay flush and discreet. They also feature tilted stands that help with time alignment, directing the sound toward your listening position for a more focused soundstage.

Focal’s exclusive Slatefiber cone is made from recycled non-woven carbon fibers. This material provides excellent rigidity, damping, and lightness, which results in a sound that is dynamic, rich, and balanced across the midrange.

With a minimum frequency response of 67 Hz, these speakers are optimized for surround sound effects rather than deep bass. You will definitely want to pair them with a dedicated subwoofer to handle the low-frequency impact in your home cinema.

Because they are specifically designed for wall mounting, they offer a much lower profile than bookshelf speakers, allowing for a cleaner aesthetic. Their specialized dispersion pattern is also tuned to create a more immersive, enveloping surround field than a standard forward-firing speaker.
