Momme (mm) is the unit used to measure the weight and density of silk. At 30 momme, these sheets are significantly thicker, more durable, and more opaque than standard silk bedding, providing a heavier, more substantial drape and a longer lifespan.

Silk is naturally smooth and less absorbent than cotton, which helps your skin retain moisture and prevents hair from tangling or breaking while you sleep. Its hypoallergenic properties also make it an excellent choice for those with sensitive skin or allergies.

Silk is naturally temperature-regulating, meaning it wicks away moisture and helps keep you cool in the summer while providing insulation during colder months. It is an ideal fabric for maintaining a consistent body temperature throughout the night.

To maintain the integrity of the silk, we recommend machine washing on a delicate cycle using a pH-neutral detergent specifically formulated for silk. Always air dry away from direct sunlight to prevent the fibers from becoming brittle.

The flat sheets are seamless for all sizes except for the King size, which requires a seam due to the width of the fabric. This construction is standard for high-quality silk bedding to ensure the fabric remains durable.

While silk has a lustrous, smooth finish, it is not as 'slick' or synthetic-feeling as polyester satin. It offers a soft, fluid drape that stays in place better than cheaper, slippery alternatives.
