The reactive glaze used on this stoneware is designed for durability, but like all matte finishes, it may show light surface marks from metal cutlery over time. Using wooden or silicone serving utensils can help maintain the pristine look of the bowl.

While the stoneware is freezer, microwave, and oven safe, we recommend allowing the bowl to reach room temperature before placing it in a hot oven to prevent thermal shock, which can cause cracking.

The bowl has a height of 1.8 inches. While it is excellent for salads, pasta, or side dishes, its shallow profile makes it better suited for thicker dishes rather than thin, liquid-heavy soups.

The 8.4-inch diameter is compact enough to fit comfortably in most standard dishwasher racks. The wide rim is designed primarily for a secure grip when carrying the bowl from the kitchen to the table.
