You should use both for optimal performance. The filter manages water quality and limescale buildup, while the tablets address coffee oil residue within the brewing system; using them together ensures your machine remains in peak condition.

Your Jura machine will automatically prompt you when the filter capacity is reached, which typically occurs after about 50 liters of water or two months of use. It is best to replace it immediately when prompted to ensure the machine continues to detect the filter correctly.
