Tensira Kapok Mattress Bedroll

Kapok is a natural, silky fiber harvested from the seed pods of the kapok tree. It is used here because it is naturally hypoallergenic, moisture-resistant, and significantly lighter than traditional cotton batting, making it ideal for a portable sleeping surface.

This bedroll is designed primarily for occasional use, such as guest bedding, nap mats, or meditation spaces. Because of its slim profile, it is best suited for short-term rest rather than replacing a standard mattress.

Due to the hand-spun cotton and natural dye process, we recommend spot cleaning with a gentle, pH-neutral detergent and cold water. Avoid machine washing or harsh chemicals, as these can compromise the integrity of the natural fibers and the indigo dye.

Tensira uses traditional Guinean dyeing techniques, which can sometimes result in slight color variations or minor crocking. While the fabric is set, we recommend keeping it away from light-colored upholstery or linens initially to ensure no dye transfer occurs.

The bedroll is lightweight and slim, designed to be easily rolled up and secured. It is perfect for moving between rooms or storing in a closet, though it does not include a dedicated carrying handle or strap.
