The HPX²™ Polymer is a proprietary material engineered to maintain the structural integrity and impact resistance of traditional resins while significantly reducing the overall mass. This allows the 1626 Air Case to be up to 40% lighter than standard Pelican cases, making it much easier to transport heavy gear.

This case is fully waterproof. It features an EPDM O-ring seal that creates an airtight and watertight barrier, ensuring your equipment remains protected even if the case is submerged.

The valve prevents the case from becoming vacuum-sealed due to changes in atmospheric pressure, such as during air travel or altitude shifts. It allows air to pass through while keeping water and dust out, making it much easier to open the case after a flight.

Yes, the case includes a Pick N Pluck™ foam insert. This allows you to manually remove small, perforated cubes of foam to create a custom-fitted cavity for your specific gear configuration.

The case features quiet-rolling stainless-steel bearing wheels designed for smooth mobility. While they perform best on flat surfaces like airport terminals or paved paths, the stainless-steel bearings provide long-term durability compared to standard plastic wheels.

The case is rated for use in temperatures ranging from -18°C to 60°C. Within this range, the polymer shell remains stable and the O-ring seal maintains its integrity, ensuring your gear stays protected in extreme climates.
