To keep the wood in top condition, avoid soaking the handle in water or putting it in the dishwasher. Simply wipe it down with a damp cloth after use and occasionally apply a food-safe mineral oil to maintain the wood's natural luster.

A flat base is designed to create a perfectly level and even puck of coffee, which is essential for uniform water distribution. This helps prevent channeling and ensures a more consistent extraction compared to shaped bases.

The handle is securely attached to the base to provide a stable, balanced feel during tamping. It is not intended to be removed or swapped out.
