Mission M700

The Mission M700s are designed to work with amplifiers ranging from 25W to 150W. Given their 86dB sensitivity, a quality amplifier in the 50W to 100W range will provide the best balance of headroom and control for most listening environments.

This is Mission's signature Inverted Driver Geometry (IDG). By placing the tweeter below the woofer, the path lengths from the acoustic centers of both drivers to your ears are equalized, which helps the sound arrive at the same time for better imaging and coherence.

While you can place them on a shelf, the M700s are specifically designed to perform best on the included custom stands. The stands are engineered to decouple the speakers from vibrations and position the drivers at the optimal height for listening, which is critical for achieving the intended soundstage.

Despite their bookshelf form factor, the M700s feature a 6.5-inch driver and a cabinet volume of 24.8 liters, allowing them to reach down to 38Hz. This provides a surprisingly deep and defined bass response that is robust enough for most music genres without requiring a separate subwoofer.

It means the internal components have been carefully selected and tuned to ensure a seamless transition between the tweeter and the bass-midrange driver. This prevents audible gaps or harshness in the frequency range where the two drivers hand off to one another, resulting in a smoother, more natural sound.
