No, these racks are not dishwasher safe. To maintain the integrity of the chromed steel finish and prevent rusting, we recommend hand washing and drying them thoroughly after each use.

Each rack stands 3.5 inches high. When stacked, you have enough clearance to comfortably cool standard cookies, pastries, or thin cakes, though they may be too tight for taller layer cakes or items with significant toppings.

The racks are designed to nest securely rather than lock with a mechanical latch. The feet of the upper racks fit into the corners of the rack below, creating a stable, tiered structure that stays in place during normal use.
