Specialized Jett Bike

The Jett is designed with highly adjustable touch points, including the seat post and handlebar stem, which allow you to fine-tune the fit as your child grows. This adjustability extends the bike's lifespan significantly compared to standard fixed-geometry frames.

While the Jett is a capable 8-speed bike, it is best suited for children who have already mastered basic balance and are ready to transition to a geared bicycle. Its lightweight aluminum frame makes it easier to handle than many heavier kids' bikes, which helps build confidence quickly.

The rigid fork design is intentional. By removing heavy, complex suspension components, the bike is significantly lighter and easier for a child to maneuver. The 2.0-inch wide Pathfinder tires provide enough natural cushioning to handle paved paths and light gravel comfortably.

V-brakes are straightforward to maintain and adjust. You will occasionally need to check the brake pad wear and ensure the cable tension is tight, but they are generally very reliable and easy to service at home with basic tools.

The center-mount stand is designed specifically for the Jett's geometry, providing a secure, upright parking position that prevents the bike from tipping over. It is a durable, bolt-on addition that protects the frame from being dropped on the ground.
