With an R-value of 4.2, the Pursuit Plus provides solid insulation for three-season use. It will keep you comfortable in cool spring and autumn temperatures, though it may not be sufficient for extreme winter conditions.

The contour shape is specifically designed to accommodate side sleepers by providing extra width where you need it most, such as at the shoulders and hips. This allows for more natural movement without your limbs slipping off the edge of the mat.

The mat is designed to self-inflate, but you will likely need to add a few breaths of air to reach your preferred firmness. The XPEL valve makes this process quick and prevents air from leaking out while you are topping it off.

The pad uses a 20-denier recycled fabric, which balances weight reduction with necessary durability. While it is tough enough for standard backcountry use, you should always clear your tent site of sharp debris like sticks or rocks to protect the integrity of the mat.

Each Pursuit Plus comes with a repair kit included. It is a straightforward fix that allows you to patch small leaks on the go, ensuring you aren't left sleeping on the ground.
