It is a tubeless-ready clincher, meaning you can set it up tubeless with sealant for better puncture protection and lower pressure, or use it with a standard inner tube if you prefer.

The EXO sidewall protection adds a layer of cut and abrasion resistance, which is excellent for gravel and light touring. While it significantly reduces the risk of flats, it is not a full-armor casing, so it is best suited for maintained gravel roads rather than jagged, rocky singletrack.

The 120 TPI (threads per inch) casing is more supple than lower TPI options, which allows the tire to conform better to the road surface. This results in a smoother ride quality and reduced rolling resistance, though it is slightly less robust than a thicker, lower TPI tire.
