The torque sensor measures how hard you are pedaling and matches that effort with motor power. This creates a much more natural, intuitive feeling where the bike responds instantly to your input, rather than waiting for the pedals to rotate a certain amount before engaging.

While it is designed as a versatile commuter, the 20-inch fat tires and 80mm suspension fork make it very capable on light trails, gravel paths, and uneven terrain. It offers excellent stability, though it is not intended for aggressive mountain biking or technical singletrack.

The Big Sur Sport is designed to accommodate riders between 60 and 75 inches (5'0" to 6'3") tall. If you fall within this range, you should find the geometry comfortable, but we always recommend a test ride if possible to ensure the reach and stand-over height feel right for your specific body type.

The MIK HD (Mounting Is Key) system is a standardized mounting platform that allows you to click compatible baskets, bags, and child seats on and off the rack in seconds. It is a much more secure and versatile solution than traditional bungee cords or permanent bolt-on accessories.

The walk assist function provides a low-speed boost to help you move the bike while you are walking alongside it. It is particularly useful when navigating steep ramps, walking the bike up a hill, or maneuvering a fully loaded bike out of a tight parking spot.

Yes, the suspension fork features a lockout mechanism. You can engage this on smooth pavement to prevent energy loss from 'bobbing' while pedaling, or disengage it when riding over bumps or rougher surfaces to maximize comfort and traction.
