Spro Little John

The Little John is designed to reach a diving depth of approximately 12 feet. This makes it an effective choice for targeting fish holding along drop-offs or suspended in deeper water columns.

The tungsten weight transfer system shifts the lure's center of gravity during the cast, which significantly increases your casting distance. Once the lure hits the water, the weight settles to ensure a stable, consistent swimming action during the retrieve.

Because it weighs 0.625 ounces, it pairs well with medium-power casting rods. Using a fluorocarbon line is recommended, as it helps the lure reach its maximum depth more efficiently compared to monofilament.

While the Little John is excellent for open water and structure, its design is optimized for deep-diving performance rather than being a dedicated weedless bait. It performs best when worked through open water or along the edges of submerged cover.
