Salsa Control Link Service Kit

This kit includes the replacement control link itself along with the necessary bearings pre-installed. It is designed as a complete, ready-to-install solution for refreshing your rear suspension pivot points.

This kit is specifically engineered for 2020–2024 Blackthorn and Blackthorn C 1.0 models, as well as 2020–2024 Cassidy and Cassidy C 1.0 models. It is not compatible with other Salsa frames or newer generation models.

While the bearings come pre-installed, you will still need standard bicycle mechanic tools to remove the old linkage and install the new one. We strongly recommend consulting the official Salsa technical service manual for your specific frame to ensure proper torque specs and assembly procedures.

You should consider replacing your linkage if you notice play or 'slop' in the rear suspension that persists even after tightening the pivot bolts, or if you feel grinding or roughness in the pivot movement. These are common signs that the bearings or the link itself have worn out.

While it is sometimes possible to press out individual bearings, purchasing the complete Control Link Service Kit is significantly easier and ensures the structural integrity of the linkage. It eliminates the risk of damaging the link during bearing removal and guarantees a precise fit.
