The North Rim is designed for individuals up to 74 inches, or 6'2", tall. If you are near that height limit, the mummy shape may feel snug, so consider if you prefer extra room to move or a tighter fit for better heat retention.

Mummy bags are inherently more tapered than rectangular bags to maximize warmth, which can feel restrictive if you move around a lot. While the North Rim offers a spacious cut, side sleepers who need significant knee room might find it tighter than a traditional camping quilt or rectangular bag.

This bag is machine washable, which makes maintenance straightforward. Use a front-loading commercial-sized washing machine on a gentle cycle with mild detergent, and tumble dry on low heat with a few tennis balls to help restore the loft of the insulation.

The draft tube is an insulated flap of fabric that runs the length of the zipper. It acts as a critical barrier to prevent cold air from seeping in and warm air from escaping through the zipper teeth, which is a common weak point in sleeping bag construction.
