If you have a dialed-in, lightweight kit, the Contour 35 is a great transition piece. However, because it lacks a frame, you must be disciplined about packing your gear strategically—using a sleeping pad as a virtual frame—to ensure the pack maintains its shape and carries comfortably.

The Contour 35 is rated for a maximum load capacity of 25 lbs. Given its frameless design, it performs best when your total base weight is low, allowing you to stay agile on the trail without the pack sagging or pulling on your shoulders.

While the Dyneema material itself is highly water-resistant and durable, the pack is not technically waterproof due to the seams and roll-top closure. We recommend using a pack liner or dry bags for your critical gear like sleeping bags and electronics to ensure they stay dry in heavy rain.
