ArGail Alpine Sleeping Bag

The ArGail Alpine is cut slightly wider than a traditional mummy bag, providing a bit more room in the shoulders and hips. This design choice offers better comfort for side sleepers or those who feel restricted in tighter, performance-focused bags.

Because the down is untreated, it is highly effective at lofting and retaining heat, but it is more susceptible to moisture than hydrophobic down. We recommend using a waterproof stuff sack and airing it out thoroughly after each trip to maintain its performance.

The button attachment system is specifically designed for ArGail-compatible backpacking pillows. While you can use other pillows, they won't secure to the bag using the integrated buttons.

The dual zippers are excellent for venting. You can unzip the foot box to cool your feet or open the side zipper partially to dump excess heat without exposing your entire body to the cold air.

The shell is made from DWR-coated Pertex, which is a lightweight, breathable, and water-resistant fabric. It is durable enough for standard backcountry use, though you should still avoid sharp rocks or thorns to prevent tears.

These baffles act as a seal around your neck and shoulders, preventing warm air from escaping and cold air from entering. They are essential for maintaining the bag's temperature rating, especially when the mercury drops near the 0°F or 20°F limits.
