Santa Cruz Heckler SL

The Heckler SL is designed to handle like a standard trail bike. Because of the lightweight FAZUA RIDE 60 motor and carbon frame, it avoids the 'heavy' feeling of full-power e-bikes, making it easy to flick through corners and pop off trail features.

The mullet configuration—a 29-inch front wheel paired with a 27.5-inch rear—gives you the best of both worlds. The larger front wheel rolls over obstacles easily, while the smaller rear wheel keeps the bike agile and responsive in tight, technical sections.

The 430Wh battery is optimized for efficiency rather than raw power, making it ideal for 2-to-3-hour rides where you want a natural assist. If you are planning all-day epics, you may need to manage your power modes carefully, but for most trail sessions, it provides plenty of range.

Santa Cruz’s VPP (Virtual Pivot Point) platform is tuned here for 150mm of travel, offering a supportive mid-stroke that keeps the bike composed on steep descents. It tracks well over roots and rocks without feeling like it's sapping your pedaling energy.

The FAZUA system provides a natural, intuitive boost that feels like a stronger version of your own legs rather than a throttle. While it won't push you up extreme grades as aggressively as a full-power motor, it provides ample torque to conquer most technical climbs without feeling like a motorcycle.
