While the natural sisal fibers are softer than synthetic alternatives, they still offer a medium-high firmness for effective exfoliation. If you have very sensitive skin, we recommend starting with light pressure to see how your skin reacts before increasing intensity.

This brush is specifically designed for dry brushing, which is best performed on dry skin before showering. Using natural fibers in water can cause them to soften prematurely and may reduce the lifespan of the wood handle.

To keep your brush hygienic, tap it against a hard surface after each use to remove dead skin cells. Occasionally wash the bristles with a mild soap and water, then hang it to air dry with the bristles facing down to prevent moisture from damaging the wood handle.

The handle is 9 inches long, which provides a comfortable grip for most areas of the body. While it allows for better reach than a palm-held brush, you may find it requires some flexibility to reach the center of your back.

With regular use, you should expect to replace the brush every 6 to 12 months. You will know it is time for a new one when the natural fibers begin to fray, lose their firmness, or if the wood shows signs of wear.
