The knock box features an open-bottom design, meaning the grounds fall directly through the unit into a bin or waste container placed underneath your counter. This setup is ideal for high-volume workflows where you want to avoid stopping to empty a standard knock box.

The knock bar is coated in food-grade silicone to dampen noise and protect your portafilter, but it is a wear-and-tear item. While the bar is durable, it is designed to be easily removed for cleaning or eventual replacement.

You can install it in most standard countertop materials like wood, laminate, or solid surface, provided you have the tools to cut the required 150mm x 150mm opening. We recommend consulting with a professional installer if you are working with stone or quartz to ensure the cut is precise and the edges are properly finished.

The stainless steel construction is easy to maintain with a simple wipe-down using a damp cloth. Because it is recessed, you can easily remove any stray grounds from the rim, and the silicone knock bar can be rinsed under warm water.
