A 13mm blade leaves a longer, uniform length of hair, which is ideal for blending or maintaining a specific, slightly longer style on thick coats. It is not designed for close-shaving or skin-tight fades.

This blade is designed with universal compatibility for most detachable-style clippers. If your clipper uses a snap-on, detachable blade system, this will likely fit, but it is not compatible with adjustable-blade clippers that have a taper lever.

Carbon-infused steel is harder and more durable, which allows the blade to hold a sharp edge significantly longer than standard steel. It also helps the blade run cooler during heavy-duty use, reducing the risk of overheating against the skin.

You should apply clipper oil before every use and periodically during extended grooming sessions. Regular oiling is essential to reduce friction, prevent the blade from overheating, and ensure the steel stays sharp for as long as possible.

While professional sharpening services exist, the carbon-infused steel is designed for long-term edge retention. Once the blade eventually loses its edge, it is generally more cost-effective and reliable to replace it rather than sharpen it.
