The Motolite is designed for long-pull brake levers, which are standard on most mountain bikes and hybrids. If you are using road-style drop bars, ensure your levers are compatible with long-pull linear brakes to avoid poor performance.

These brakes require standard linear-pull (V-brake) mounting bosses on your frame and fork. They are not compatible with disc-brake-only frames or traditional road caliper mounts.

The reversible arms allow you to route the brake cable from either the left or right side of the bike. This is particularly helpful for custom builds or specific cable routing setups where you need to avoid interference with other components.
