Because it is a double-ended tool, it cannot stand upright in a standard brush cup. You will need to lay it flat in a drawer or use a brush roll to keep the bristles protected and in good shape.

Use a gentle brush cleanser or mild soap and lukewarm water to wash the bristles. Lay the brush flat to dry completely, ensuring that water does not seep into the ferrule, which can loosen the glue over time.
