Plant the seeds at a shallow depth of 0.25 inches. Because these seeds are small, planting them too deep can prevent germination, so a light covering of soil is all that is required.

The recommended seeding rate is 9 pounds per acre. This density is calculated to provide the optimal balance of plant competition and individual growth to achieve the maximum nutritional yield.
