MIPS, or Multi-directional Impact Protection System, is a slip-plane layer inside the helmet designed to reduce rotational forces that can result from certain impacts. It allows the helmet to slide slightly during a crash, which helps redirect energy away from your head.

While the X-Large size is designed for larger head circumferences, fit can vary by brand and head shape. We recommend measuring your head circumference just above your eyebrows and checking it against the Bell sizing chart to ensure a secure, comfortable fit before purchasing.

The Full-9 Fusion is built for aggressive riding, including downhill racing and bike park laps. While it offers superior protection, it is heavier and less ventilated than a standard trail helmet, so it may feel restrictive for long, pedaling-heavy cross-country rides.
