The cotton flannel filter allows more of the coffee's natural oils and fine particles to pass through than paper, resulting in a richer, fuller-bodied cup with a velvety mouthfeel. It essentially bridges the gap between the clarity of a pour-over and the body of a French press.

After brewing, rinse the filter thoroughly with hot water—never use soap, as it will taint future brews. Store the filter submerged in a small container of water inside your refrigerator to keep the fibers from drying out and becoming brittle.

The wood handle is designed to stay on the pot during use, but it is held in place by a leather tie that can be loosened if you need to remove the collar for a deep clean. We recommend wiping the wood down with a damp cloth rather than submerging it to preserve the finish.

The Woodneck has a capacity of 240ml, which is perfect for a single, generous serving of coffee. It is designed specifically for a focused, ritualistic brewing experience rather than batch brewing for a crowd.

While the cloth filter is reusable, it will eventually wear out over time. Depending on how frequently you brew and how well you maintain it, you can expect a single filter to last for several months before needing a replacement.
