Unlike traditional pour-overs that rely solely on percolation, the SD1 incorporates immersion brewing. This dual approach helps stabilize the extraction process, making it easier to achieve a consistent cup even if your pouring technique isn't perfect.

No, the SD1 is not dishwasher safe. To preserve the integrity of the food-grade polycarbonate, we recommend hand washing it with warm water and mild soap.

The base is designed with concentric ribs to provide a stable platform on most standard vessels. However, it is best suited for mugs or carafes with an opening diameter smaller than the 128mm width of the dripper base.
