Specialized Rear Thru Axle

This axle is designed specifically for select Specialized mountain bike frames from the 2018-2019 model years. Before purchasing, verify that your frame utilizes Boost 148mm hub spacing and requires a 172mm axle length with a 12mm diameter.

This product is the axle shaft itself. It is intended as a direct replacement for your existing hardware, so you should reuse the existing nut or frame-specific interface hardware currently on your bike.

Boost spacing refers to the 148mm width between the rear dropouts of your frame. This axle is engineered specifically to span that width, ensuring your wheel is properly centered and the rear triangle maintains its intended stiffness.

We do not recommend it. Thru-axle standards, including thread pitch and length, vary significantly between manufacturers. This component is precision-engineered for specific Specialized geometry and may not thread correctly or provide safe retention on other brands.

You should always follow the torque specifications outlined in your bike's owner manual or printed on the frame near the dropout. Overtightening can damage the threads or the frame, while undertightening may cause the axle to loosen during aggressive riding.
