The stonewashing process breaks down the cotton fibers, resulting in a soft, lived-in feel right out of the package. It removes the stiffness often found in new cotton textiles, giving it a relaxed, pliable drape.

The waffle weave is both aesthetic and functional. The raised texture increases the surface area of the fabric, which helps the towel absorb moisture more efficiently than a flat-weave cotton towel.

Because the cotton has been stonewashed, the fabric has already undergone a pre-shrinking process. While minor shrinkage is normal for any natural cotton textile, following the care instructions—specifically using a gentle cycle and low heat—will keep the dimensions stable.

It is designed for both. The absorbent nature of the waffle weave makes it highly effective for drying glassware and dishes, while its refined texture allows it to double as a decorative accent when draped over an oven handle or folded on a countertop.

To preserve the texture, wash on a gentle cycle with warm water and avoid using bleach, which can weaken the cotton fibers. Tumble drying on a low setting helps maintain the fluffiness of the weave, though you can also air dry it for a slightly crisper finish.
