Pure Badger is the entry-level grade of badger hair, known for being stiffer and more resilient than finer grades like Silvertip. It provides a firm, exfoliating feel that is excellent for lifting stubborn whiskers and creating a thick lather quickly.

Storing your brush upside down on the included stand allows excess water to drain away from the base of the knot. This prevents moisture buildup, which can weaken the glue and cause the bristles to shed prematurely, significantly extending the life of your brush.

Because of its dense, firm knot, this brush performs exceptionally well with both. The stiffness of the Pure Badger bristles makes it particularly effective at breaking down hard shaving soaps, while still being soft enough to whip up a rich, creamy lather from shaving creams.

After shaving, rinse the brush thoroughly with warm water until all soap residue is gone, then gently shake out the excess moisture. Place it in the stand to air dry in a well-ventilated area, avoiding enclosed spaces like medicine cabinets.

It is normal for a new natural hair brush to lose a few loose bristles during the first few uses. This should subside quickly as the knot settles; if shedding continues significantly after a week or two, it may indicate improper drying or excessive pressure during use.
