Nidecker Gamma APX

The Gamma APX is designed as a versatile all-mountain board. Its directional shape and medium-soft flex make it stable enough for carving on groomers while remaining playful enough for side hits and freestyle riding across the entire resort.

With a 4/2 flex rating, this board sits on the softer side of the spectrum. It offers a forgiving, surfy feel that is easy to press and butter, but the carbon reinforcements ensure it still has enough snap to hold an edge when you need it.

While the Gamma APX is accessible enough for an ambitious intermediate, its performance-focused construction—like the N-9000 base and carbon pop—is really built for riders who want to progress their freestyle skills and demand a responsive, damp ride.

The Absorbind technology is designed to soak up chatter and vibrations from uneven snow. You will notice it most when riding through choppy, tracked-out snow or at higher speeds, as it helps keep the board feeling smooth and planted rather than twitchy.

While it is a directional board, it is designed for creative, freestyle-oriented riding, so it is still very capable of riding switch. You might notice a slight difference in feel compared to a true twin, but it is well-balanced enough for spins and switch landings.

The N-9000 is a high-density, high-speed sintered base, which means it is very fast but requires regular waxing to maintain its performance. If you keep it waxed, it will glide significantly better than standard extruded bases.
