Swix VP55 Wax

The VP55 is designed for tricky, near-freezing conditions. It performs best in wet, fine-grained, and transformed snow where temperatures hover between 1°C and -5°C.

The additive helps prevent the wax from icing up or dragging in wet, slushy snow. It essentially keeps your glide smooth while ensuring you still have the grip needed for a solid kick.

It is suitable for both. The formula is reliable enough for daily training sessions but refined enough to be a trusted choice for competitive racing when conditions are unpredictable.

Apply the wax in thin, even layers directly onto the kick zone of your ski. Once applied, use a synthetic cork to smooth it out for an even finish.

While you can, you will likely see a drop in performance. If the temperature is significantly colder or warmer than the 1°C to -5°C range, the wax may either become too slippery or create too much drag.
