The heating time depends on the type of wax and the amount in the can, but generally, it takes about 20 to 30 minutes to reach a workable consistency on the high setting. We recommend starting on high to melt the wax, then switching to medium to maintain the temperature.

The dial offers three basic settings: off, medium, and high. It is a straightforward, analog control rather than a digital thermostat, so you will need to test the wax temperature on your wrist before applying it to sensitive areas to ensure it is comfortable.

Because this unit is designed for standard 14-ounce cans, the wax stays contained within the can itself, which keeps the interior of the warmer clean. If you do get wax on the unit, it is best to clean it while the wax is slightly warm using a wax-specific cleaner or a little oil.
