MIPS, or Multi-directional Impact Protection System, is an integrated layer inside the helmet designed to reduce rotational forces during an angled impact. It allows the helmet to slide slightly relative to your head, which helps protect your brain from the damaging energy often associated with ski and snowboard crashes.

While the Rodeo is specifically engineered for seamless integration with Smith goggles to ensure proper airflow and a gap-free fit, it is compatible with most standard ski goggles. However, you may experience a slight gap or less-than-optimal ventilation if the goggle frame shape does not align well with the helmet's brim.

The ten fixed vents are permanently open to provide constant airflow, which helps regulate your temperature and prevents goggles from fogging. Because the vents are not adjustable, this helmet is best suited for riders who prefer a 'set it and forget it' approach to climate control.
