The Virga3 relies on your sleeping pad to create structure. By folding or rolling your pad and placing it inside the main compartment against the back panel, you create a rigid frame that supports the load and prevents gear from poking into your back.

The pack is designed for a load capacity of up to 25 pounds. Because it lacks a traditional frame, exceeding this weight will likely cause the pack to sag and become uncomfortable, regardless of how well you pack it.

It features a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, which offers good protection against light rain and mist. However, it is not seam-sealed or fully waterproof, so you should still use a pack liner or dry bags for your critical gear in heavy downpours.
