The Chromag Radar pedals use a standard 9/16-inch spindle thread, which fits the vast majority of mountain bikes and higher-end kids' bikes. However, they will not fit bikes that use one-piece cranks, which typically require a 1/2-inch pedal thread.

The Radar pedals offer significantly better grip thanks to their concave aluminum platform and dedicated pins, which helps keep feet secure on rough terrain. They also feature a high-quality bearing system that spins much smoother and lasts longer than the budget plastic pedals found on most stock bikes.

These pedals are specifically engineered for riders aged 4 to 10. The 70mm by 93mm platform provides a stable, proportional base for smaller feet, ensuring they have enough surface area for control without being so wide that they strike obstacles on the trail.

Yes, unlike many entry-level pedals that are disposable, the Radar is fully rebuildable. You can easily service the bearings and seals, which helps extend the life of the pedals significantly as your child grows.

While the pins provide excellent traction, they are metal and can cause scrapes if a foot slips. We recommend pairing these pedals with knee and shin pads for younger riders who are still developing their bike handling skills.
