The roll-top closure allows you to adjust the volume of the bag based on your load, ensuring items stay compressed and secure. While it takes a few extra seconds to open compared to a zipper, it provides superior weather resistance and flexibility for varying gear sizes.

The Scout Pack features a minimalist, frameless design, which makes it lightweight and easy to carry for day hikes. However, because it lacks a structured suspension system or padded back panel, it is best suited for lighter loads rather than heavy, multi-day backpacking gear.

To maintain the durability of the canvas, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed. The leather accents will develop a natural patina over time, but you can occasionally apply a leather conditioner to keep the material supple and prevent cracking.

The pack does not feature a dedicated, padded laptop sleeve. If you plan to use it for commuting, we recommend using a separate protective sleeve for your electronics to keep them safe against the frameless back panel.

The heavy-duty canvas is highly water-resistant and durable, capable of handling light rain and splashes. It is not fully waterproof, so we recommend using a dry bag inside for critical items if you are heading out in heavy, sustained downpours.
