Silca Latex Tube

Latex is significantly more elastic than butyl rubber, which allows the tube to deform more easily over road imperfections. This reduces rolling resistance, saving you 2-5 watts per wheel, and provides a noticeably smoother, more supple ride quality.

These tubes are designed for clincher tires ranging from 24mm to 30mm in width. They feature a 42mm Presta valve and are fully compatible with modern disc wheel systems.

Latex is more porous than butyl, so you should expect to top off your tire pressure before every ride, as they lose air faster than standard tubes. Additionally, be careful when installing them to ensure the tube isn't pinched between the tire bead and the rim, as latex is slightly more delicate during the mounting process.

While these tubes are compatible with clincher rims, be aware that latex can be sensitive to the high heat generated by rim brakes on long descents. If you are using disc brakes, this is not a concern, but rim brake users should ensure their braking technique is sound to avoid overheating the rim and tube.

The removable core allows you to easily attach valve extenders if you are using deep-section rims. It also makes it simple to inject tire sealant directly into the tube if you want to add an extra layer of puncture protection.
