The 25mm diameter is the standard for women's Olympic weightlifting bars. It is designed to be easier to grip for smaller hands, allowing for a more secure hook grip during explosive movements like the snatch and clean and jerk.

Needle bearings provide a much smoother, faster, and more consistent sleeve rotation compared to bushings. This is critical for Olympic lifting, as it reduces the torque transferred to your wrists and elbows when catching the bar overhead.

While this bar is optimized for Olympic lifting, it features dual knurling marks that include powerlifting rings. However, keep in mind that this bar has more 'whip' or flex than a dedicated powerlifting bar, which is preferred for Olympic lifts but may feel less stable under very heavy, static loads.

Hardened chrome is highly resistant to corrosion and oxidation, making it one of the lowest-maintenance finishes available. Simply wiping the bar down with a light coat of 3-in-One oil or a similar barbell cleaner every few weeks will keep it in excellent condition.

The bar features a medium knurling, which is designed to provide a reliable grip without being overly abrasive. While there is a center knurl, it is moderate enough that it should not cause significant discomfort during front squats or cleans.

This bar has a maximum capacity of 800 lbs and a high tensile strength of 240,000 PSI. It is built to handle serious training loads, though it is specifically engineered for the dynamic nature of Olympic lifting rather than heavy powerlifting max-outs.
