While it is engineered to handle the high torque of e-bikes, it is fully compatible with standard mountain bikes as long as your frame supports the UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) standard required for T-Type transmission mounting.

You must use the included Flattop chain. The T-Type system uses a specific tooth profile on the cassette and chainring that is only compatible with the Flattop chain design.

The T-Type system is specifically designed to shift under load. Unlike mechanical systems where you might need to ease off the pedals to avoid a harsh clunk, this groupset maintains smooth, consistent gear changes even when you are putting significant power through the drivetrain.

If the battery dies, the derailleur will stay in the gear it was in when the power cut out. You will be stuck in that single gear until you can swap in a fresh battery or recharge the existing one.

This kit includes a 36t 104 BCD chainring, but it is designed to work specifically with the T-Type ecosystem. To ensure the best shifting performance and chain longevity, you should use the chainring provided or one specifically designated as T-Type compatible.

Setup is straightforward and managed through the SRAM AXS app on your smartphone. You can easily customize the button functions to your preference, such as swapping which button shifts up or down.
