Gamakatsu Spinnerbait Trailer Hook

Many fish, especially bass, will strike at the back of a spinnerbait skirt rather than the main hook. The trailer hook extends the reach of your lure, catching those short-striking fish that would otherwise miss the primary hook.

The surgical tubing acts as a keeper to lock the trailer hook onto the eye of your main spinnerbait hook. It prevents the trailer hook from sliding off or tangling during aggressive retrieves or when pulling through heavy cover.

Select the hook size based on the size of your spinnerbait. Generally, a 1/0 hook is ideal for smaller, finesse-style spinnerbaits, while the 2/0 is better suited for standard-sized blades and larger profiles.

It has a negligible impact on the lure's action. Because the hook is lightweight and sits directly behind the main hook, it won't disrupt the vibration or flash of your spinnerbait blades.

While designed specifically for spinnerbaits, these hooks can be used on buzzbaits or other wire-based lures where you need to extend the hook point. Just ensure the eye of the lure's main hook is compatible with the trailer hook's eye.
