EVO E-Force Quick Release Skewers

Standard quick-release levers use a cam-action handle that can be opened by hand in seconds. These E-Force skewers replace that handle with a locking mechanism that requires a specific hex key tool to loosen, preventing someone from simply flipping a lever to steal your wheel.

These skewers are designed for standard bicycle hub spacing, specifically 100mm for the front wheel and 135mm for the rear. They are compatible with most city, mountain, and hybrid bikes that use traditional quick-release dropouts.

The key is a standard hex shape, but the security comes from the recessed, patented design that prevents standard tools from gripping the nut. If you lose your specific key, you will need to contact the manufacturer or a local bike shop to see if a replacement can be sourced, as you won't be able to remove the wheel without it.

At 85 grams for the set, they are comparable to many standard steel quick-release skewers. While they are slightly heavier than high-end titanium racing skewers, the weight trade-off is negligible for the added security they provide.

You only need the tool when you need to remove your wheels, such as for a flat tire repair or when transporting your bike. It is a good idea to keep the tool in your saddlebag or on your keychain so you aren't stranded if you get a flat while out riding.
