The bristles are quite stiff, so it is best suited for root vegetables like potatoes, carrots, and beets. We recommend avoiding it for delicate produce with thin skins, as the firm fibers may cause bruising or damage.

Because it is made from natural wood and fibers, it is not dishwasher safe. After use, rinse the bristles thoroughly, shake off excess water, and store it in a dry, well-ventilated area to prevent the wood from warping or molding.

The handle is finished to be durable, but like any natural wood product, it can become slick when soapy or wet. The compact, rectangular shape is designed to fit securely in your palm to help you maintain a firm grip while scrubbing.

This brush uses a blend of both to balance performance. Tampico fibers provide a slightly softer touch for general scrubbing, while the coconut fibers offer the extra stiffness needed to dislodge stubborn dirt and debris from crevices.

It is normal for a small amount of natural fiber to shed during the first few uses as the brush settles. This should stop quickly with regular use, and the construction is designed to be durable enough for daily kitchen tasks.
