Giant Liv STP FS

This bike is built for young riders who want to progress their skills on dirt jumps, pump tracks, and flowy trails. Its geometry and suspension are tuned to handle rougher terrain while remaining agile enough for neighborhood riding.

The SR XCT L20 fork provides 60mm of travel to smooth out bumps, but it is a coil-spring fork rather than an air-sprung one. This means it is not externally adjustable for rider weight, but it is designed to be compliant for the typical weight range of a child riding a 20-inch bike.

Hydraulic disc brakes offer significantly better stopping power and modulation, especially in wet or muddy conditions. They require less hand strength to operate than cable-actuated rim brakes, which helps young riders maintain better control.

The 1x7 drivetrain is designed for simplicity and reliability, reducing the chance of chain drops. While it may not offer the wide range of a modern mountain bike with 10 or 12 speeds, it is perfectly adequate for the types of short, punchy climbs and flat terrain this bike is intended to tackle.

A 20-inch bike like the Liv STP FS typically fits children between 4 and 7 years old, or roughly 45 to 54 inches tall. However, inseam length is the most accurate measurement, so we recommend having your child stand over the frame to ensure they have enough clearance.
