You build pressure manually using the integrated hand pump located on the top of the unit. You will need to pump it periodically as you use the water to maintain a consistent flow.

The unit features an insulated neoprene jacket that helps retain temperature, but it does not have an active heating element. You can fill it with warm water before you head out, or let it sit in the sun to passively warm the water through solar absorption.

With a two-gallon capacity and a flow rate of one gallon per minute, you can expect about two minutes of continuous spray. You will likely need to re-pump the unit a few times during use to maintain optimal pressure as the water level drops.

The hose is 6.58 feet long, which provides decent reach for rinsing off gear near your car or cleaning off a bike rack. However, it is not long enough to reach around large vehicles or trailers.

The pressure release valve is a safety feature that prevents over-pressurization of the tank. It is also essential for safely releasing air pressure before you open the tank to refill it.
