Mammut Protect Down Bag

This sleeping bag is rated for temperatures down to -18°C, making it suitable for extreme cold and winter camping conditions.

The central two-way zipper allows you to open the bag from either the top or the bottom. This makes it easy to vent heat quickly if you start to overheat without having to fully unzip the bag.

The exterior features a PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment. While this makes the bag highly water-resistant and capable of handling damp conditions, it is not fully waterproof like a dry bag.

Mammut designed this bag specifically for restorative rest in challenging environments. The included mask and earplugs help block out light and ambient noise, which is particularly useful if you are camping in high-traffic base camps or areas with unpredictable light levels.

While it uses a traditional mummy shape to maximize thermal efficiency, it features a revised anatomical foot box. This provides extra room for your feet, reducing the cramped feeling often associated with technical mummy bags.

The magnetic closure allows you to quickly and easily secure the insulation collar around your neck or shoulders. It is designed to be more intuitive and less fiddly than traditional snap buttons or drawcords, especially when wearing gloves.
