The elastic edge is designed to create a snug, secure fit around the rim of your bowl. While they aren't vacuum-sealed like a plastic container, they provide a reliable barrier that keeps food fresh and prevents spills during standard refrigerator storage.

These covers are specifically tailored for round bowls. While they might stretch over a square container with rounded corners, they are optimized for a circular shape to ensure the elastic maintains the proper tension for a secure seal.

Maintenance is straightforward. Since they are made from durable flannel, you can simply toss them in the washing machine with your regular laundry. They are also dishwasher safe if you prefer to clean them alongside your dishes.

Flannel is a porous material, so it can pick up strong scents if it comes into direct contact with pungent foods like onions or garlic. Regular washing will keep them fresh, but we recommend using them primarily for dry goods or leftovers that aren't overly aromatic.

These covers are designed for refrigerator storage and countertop use. We don't recommend using them in the freezer, as the fabric isn't intended to withstand freezing temperatures and may not provide the necessary protection against freezer burn.
